Henry Rings The Changes For Wallabies Clash 69 views 8 Comments

Graham Henry has brought in the big guns for the Tri Nations decider against the Wallabies on Saturday, what do you think?

All Blacks coach Graham Henry has made plenty of changes for the Tri Nations decider against the Wallabies at Brisbane on Saturday.  The big guns are back for this match with only Sam Whitelock, Adam Thomson, Keven Mealamu and Tony Woodcock starting for the second match in a row.

There will be plenty of interest in the hotly contested outside backs positions especially with the exclusion of exciting players like Israel Dagg and Sonny Bill Williams from the matchday 22.

This is close to a top All Blacks team, how important do you think it is that the All Blacks win well on Saturday night?  Or do you just see it as a warm up for the Rugby World Cup?

I think there is a psychological edge to winning this and we don't want the Wallabies to get any more confidence.

All Blacks: Mils Muliaina, Cory Jane, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Zac Guildford, Dan Carter, Piri Weepu, Kieran Read, Richie McCaw (c), Adam Thomson, Sam Whitelock, Brad Thorn, Owen Franks, Keven Mealamu, Tony Woodcock. Reserves: Andrew Hore, John Afoa, Ali Williams, Victor Vito, Andy Ellis, Colin Slade, Isaia Toeava.

These changes make it difficult for managers with limited trades.

I wish. One mistake made earlier this week could cost me the title.

Every one running out of trades just as they bring in the new "Buy Extra Trades" concept. Coincidence?

I think only the cleverest and wisest will still have the coin and trades to get a full scoring squad for the game. But it is what it is. I made the mistake this time of selling and buying again too early in the week thinking that I knew who would be sure to play and that I'd would make enough profit and still have enough trades. I should have and could have waited longer for team announcements. Live and learn.
The fella heading our division seems to have got it right, so I'll not be complaining. Same boat for all and rules be rules.

For me this is an incredible All Blacks backline and exactly the one I would have chosen. Hungry wingers with talent and innovation surrounded by the old guard who know how to feed them. Make no mistake , the cauldron aka lang park, aka, suncorp stadium is going to be worth 10 points at least to the "reds heavy" Wallabies side and Henry and Co were right to go with the experienced heads in the backs.
Very pleased to see Adam Thomson get another start, I thought he got a tough rap by alot of folk after the boks game. His defence was outstanding, he was up against a possesed Heinrich Brussouw and had to take up alot of the workload that Reid and McCaw would usually do but Ali Williams is incapable of. He has probably been named to counter the pace of Samo, and he will do well and give away less penalties this week.
So bloody jealous of the depth you guys have, but don't be surprised to lose this weekend. WALLABIES BY 6. With a man of the match performance by Anthony Faingaa.

I agree, there is no way that 1 could have enough trades left to get a full playing team! I'f got like 6 players not playing with no trades left!

Umm yeah a 9 member team last week and an 8 member team this week! I've been stung bad by the lack of trades and rotation of players every god damn week! Can't you just spot us all 5 extra trades each? Pretty please??
