Are these guys pussies, or do they have real reason to not play this weekend?
While these are are professionals and it is their job, and there is a huge amount of commercial interest wrapped around their activity, I think they made the right choice. It is one thing to say the people of Christchurch would have wanted the game to proceed, but the reality and scale of carnage around them must be huge - far more than we can appreciate from a distance.
Taking a moment to support those around them, and a moment to respect those who have fallen was the only real option in my mind.
