Scotty Donaldson looks at the Rugby Championship Team of Round 5. Bryan Habana was the player of the round, do you agree with the statistics?
The Rugby Championship Round 5 was the first round to see plenty of tries being scored. Both games were allowed to flow by the referees and some favourable conditions allowed both winning teams the chance to get four try bonus points. The All Blacks flogging of Argentina was enough to secure them the Rugby Championship trophy with one game remaining, while the Springboks looked a lot better without Morne Steyn against an injury depleted Wallabies.
The outside backs dominated the points scoring with braces of tries for Bryan Habana (South Africa), Cory Jane and Julian Savea (New Zealand). There were also plenty of Springboks and Argentina players in this Team of the Round to join the All Black laden backs. Personally, my team was let down by Luke Romano's injury plagued match, while Israel Dagg was outshone by his wingers for the first time this season. Ma'a Nonu finally pulled out a blinder and got me some points though!
