Super Rugby Margin Analysis

In Super Rugby 2014 there have been 120 matches in 19 rounds.  After 19 rounds of Super Rugby 2014 the home team has won 85 out of 120 matches (71 percent).  The most common winning margin is now three (nine times) with six, eight and sixteen points (eight times each), while the average winning margin is now 13 points.  Interestingly, the average winning margin in Super Rugby Round 19 was 25 points.

Upset Analysis

There have been 42 obvious picks in Super Rugby 2014 so far.  Super Rugby Round 19 had no upset results from seven games.  The interesting thing is that there have been 22 extreme upsets and 25 fifty fifty results this season, which makes you feel better about yourself in some regards.
