Super Rugby Round 11 was remarkably hassle free for the top sides. Which team impressed you the most?
Super 15 Round 11 rugby action went far more according to plan. Like my Highlanders I scored far more competition points this week than usual and I managed to save some face thanks to the Stormers win over the Hurricanes which was as close as an upset as results got with 43 percent of SuperBru punters picking the result.
Most of the top teams won at home with the Brumbies, Reds, Chiefs, Cheetahs, Bulls and Crusaders gaining the points, while the Stormers were the only team to win away.
Most results went according to plan, although the margin of the Crusaders victory over the Rebels was smaller than anticipated with four points separating the two teams after 80 minutes.
One thing that still irritates me is why teams feel the need to substitute quality players and clear the bench, even if it means bringing on an inferior player. The Rebels are one team without the depth on their bench and some late replacements definitely didn't help their chances of defeating the Crusaders.
In the Super Rugby Tips SuperBru competition, Gecko won the yellow cap for the best tipster of the round, while I picked up eight placings to move into the top 20. Shaka has taken the lead again from ROYEE.
