All of the injuries and the presence of three teams with the bye, means that the top five outside backs and two other prolific points scorers (James O'Connor and Adam Thomson) are out. Who are you going for? Do you have enough trades?
The top five outside backs are all either injured or have the bye making things difficult for www.testrugby.com managers. I was struck with a dilemma when finalising my team for Round 13 Super Rugby. Kurtley Beale's Waratahs have the bye, which means selling my 3705 points scoring machine. Crusaders Israel Dagg and Sean Maitland are both out injured and as the 2nd and 3rd highest points scoring outside backs this adds to the problem. Isaia Toeava (above) and Drew Mitchell are both out for the rest of the competition.
This leaves Ben Smith from the Highlanders as the next highest candidate. While he has been playing well, I don't think the slug fest between the Highlanders and Hurricanes won't help the outside backs, so I have gone for Bulls winger Bjorn Basson as a bit of an outsider.
I have never seen the competition reach such a stage where other top points scorers like Adam Thomson (injured) and James O'Connor (bye) are also not playing. The injury list and presence of three teams with byes really tests out the balance of trades for most managers.
Who have you gone for this week? At least Peter Grant and Daniel Carter are two big scorers who return this week. Have you run out of trades?
