Super Rugby Round 12 Review - Upsets For Punters 4 views

Scotty Donaldson gives a brief review of Super Rugby Round 12.
Super Rugby Round 12 2012 has been a difficult round for punters with several upsets including one of the biggest upsets in Super Rugby history when the Rebels defeated the Crusaders. The Crusaders also lost Kieran Read to injury.
It was generally a poor round for New Zealand teams with the table topping Chiefs also losing to the defending champions Reds team after losing star centre Richard Kahui to a shoulder injury. This could have just made things easier for the All Blacks selectors.
The poor Blues beat an even worse Lions team on Friday night but also lost the massive Charlie Faumuina. The Bulls stunned the Waratahs in the dying minutes and the Stormers just won the battle over the Cheetahs and the Sharks proved they are a force to be reckoned with at home smashing the Force.
The Hurricanes had a good controversial win over my Highlanders who ran out of steam.
This weekend was a humble reminder that Super Rugby is less predictable than it has been in the previous four weeks.
In conclusion - New Zealand has lost three players predicted to make the first All Blacks squad of the season to injury this weekend.
The Hurricanes, Rebels, Reds and Sharks are improving, the Stormers and Bulls are continuing their good form, while the Chiefs, Highlanders and Crusaders are running out of steam, while the Blues and Lions ran out of steam ages ago. The Waratahs and Cheetahs seem to be the masters of narrow losses this season, while the Force aren't much chop away from home.
In regards to making the Top Six, the Highlanders look sunk, while the Reds, Hurricanes and Sharks still have a good shot at joining the Crusaders and Bulls/Stormers as the lucky losers.
