Tevita Kuridrani


The best player of Super 15 Rugby Round 1 was Tevita Kuridrani who was part of the dominant Brumbies backline, while Damian McKenzie from the Chiefs was also impressive. It is hard to know how long Aaron Cruden will be rested for, but McKenzie looked at home at Super Rugby level and best of all, he is a bargain!

It will be interesting to see blockbusting centres Sonny Bill Williams and Tevita Kuridrani playing against each other next weekend.

Some other interesting players to make these teams.

Stephen Moore did well in his comeback, given his limited minutes. There were some impressive performances from budget priced outside backs in Bryce Heem and Dillyn Leyds. Plenty of players from losing teams still featured strongly, with some Crusaders tight forwards, while Israel Folau is a stud points scorer. Bismarck du Plessis hasn't made many friends with www.testrugby.com managers who splashed out to buy the classy hooker, but he didn't play. The question is whether to buy or sell him now? Ben Funnell and Stephen Moore could be good alternatives.

It is wise to see when teams have the bye and only buy players that you will get at least three games out of. The Highlanders had the bye in the opening round and will be cheap for Round 2, while the Cheetahs have the bye in Round 2.
