Scotty Donaldson gives a brief overview of Super Rugby following Round 4.
The Stormers are the best South African side at this stage. The Sharks are going to be tough to beat by visiting teams, while the Cheetahs seem to be enjoying Australia.
The Australian teams had a terrible weekend with only the Force winning by beating the Waratahs. Is the Australian conference weaker than we thought since the second best team the Waratahs have won only one match?
The Chiefs and Highlanders continue to win and is it pessimistic to wait for the wheels to fall off the cart like it usually does or have both of these teams turned over a new leaf with their latest influx of players (plenty of former Hurricanes) and some quality coaching staff?
Can the Blues be competitive this year with so many injuries to quality players? Anthony Boric, Jerome Kaino, Rudi Wulf and Isaia Toeava are All Blacks, how can they cope without them?
Are the Hurricanes going to remain competitive this season or will the passion run out soon? Is their tight five up to it?
Finally, was it a coincidence that the Highlanders played in their green away strip in Wellington on St Patrick's Day, getting the support of hundreds of St Paddy's Day revellers? The ironic thing is that most true Highlanders supporters were wearing the blue home jersey to this game since there was so much controversy regarding these jerseys last year.
What do you think about these points raised?
Have your say!
