Super Rugby Round 13 Team of the Round. Who would you put in this team?
Colin Slade's resurgent form helped the Crusaders to a big win over the Reds. Slade's form saw him become the Super Rugby Round 13 Player of the Round according to fantasy rugby website www.testrugby.com . Slade has always shown promise, but has struggled for regular game time because of injuries. Highlanders’ fans will be a bit gutted because he rarely showed this form for them in recent seasons. His form has also seen him included in the All Blacks training squad named yesterday.
Crusaders dominated the backline in the Super Rugby Team of Round 13 with Johnny McNichol and Nemani Nadolo joining Luke Whitelock and Slade in the team courtesy of their big win over the Reds. That victory by the Crusaders was helped by dry daytime conditions which New Zealand teams aren't used to.
The Super Rugby team of the round features some relative newcomers in Martin Muller, Ardie Savea and Faf de Klerk.
Interestingly, two Australian based New Zealanders made the team in Tamati Ellison and Jayden Hayward. This raises the question of if overseas based players should be eligible for the All Blacks.
