All Blacks Training Squad Named 23 views

Steve Hansen has named the All Blacks training squad, which selections surprise you the most?
Steve Hansen has named his 38 strong All Blacks training squad with the June International Tests around the corner. Hansen has named ten uncapped players in this squad which suggests that their will be some debutants taking the field against France.
The exclusion of Tamati Ellison who announced recently that he will leave rugby in New Zealand, gives Rene Ranger the utility back position looking forward. I also think that other Blues players Frank Halai and Stephen Luatua should make the final All Blacks squad, while most players in this squad are only one injury away from getting called into the All Blacks.
The biggest surprise is probably the inclusion of Francis Saili and Jeffrey Toomaga-Allen, although just because a player makes this squad, doesn't mean they will make the All Blacks.
Frank Halai could start on the wing for the All Blacks against France on June 8th based on current form. that is my pick!
I am also surprised that only one openside has been named, while Hika Elliot missing out is a bit surprising!
