High count on high tackles
All weekend I see tackles that are reasonable tackles get penalized. While safety is paramount, referees are killing the game, take for example Digby Ioane tackle, 5 weeks ???
what a joke. That should of been play on. And as for the Lines men, they are worse, They stick there noses in as if they were controling the game. Can they really tell the referee to go back to a certain point and pay a penalty, or issue a yellow or red card ? Surely if it's really dangerous and the ref has missed it, lets go up stairs to see before dealing out a red or yellow card to a player who might be innocent of any wrong doing. Even the players are baffled. After all we all only want a fair contest. It's bad enough now with all the other rules baffling me paticularly at scrum time. CROUCH TOUCH PAUSE ENGAGE Do we really need PAUSE? Can the referee over ride the lines-man and if he can why doesn't he?
On the weekend I seen 7 or 8 tackles that were penalized that should of been play on, I seen another 2 that maybe should of been penalized but nothing happened. This is where the linesmen really annoy me, they stand there like cardboard cutouts. sometime arriving on the scene three or four seconds after the play.
Rugby league fans are laughing at us. So here is my beef : Refs and linesmen let the game flow and we might all see some tries being scored.Get rid of PAUSE from the srum settings and lets see more tries and the fans will turn up to your stadiums to see some great rugby.
