Infatuation

Jeepers the scoring guys are biased towards JC, the guy ties his boots laces and gets awarded 500points. How does Adam thompson the week before score 3 tries, countless line breaks tackles etc and only scores 700. JC comes along with 600 from 1 try and now where near the game AT had the week before. Seems that every time he goes into contact he gets awarded a go forward?? Another joe Peterson had an equal game to JC this weekend but gets half the points...... The rabbit is a good player but the scoring suggest that he is the greatest player ever to touch a rugby ball which clearly isn't the case. Now I'm going back to bed because this hangover and writin this rant is making me mock charge. And I'm writing dribble to use up a min of 1000 characters so I can post this rant. Got to keep writing as I don't know how many characters I've used already, definitely not counting the above. Happy Easter.....stormers for life Ok still haven't used 1000 characters, this is rediculous.

To get awarded a go forward, you must get over the advantage line. Passing the ball out wide from a lineout or scrum, making a few jinks or running a few metres counts for nothing if you end up behind the original lineout or scrum. O'Connor tends to side step and swerve , to get over the advantage line, not many players go that as effectively and as often as he does.

Still I won't buy him though?

Im of the same opinion that J.O seems to get awarded points for doing the basics but thats the point of this comp. Players that have the most involvement in a game get the most points. Thompson is the same. Sure these players may only be doing the basics, but they are doing them more than other players, If you dont like it put them in your team.

watch the game james scored 265 only for kicks and his try and 335 for the rest, that is a fair reflection if you did watched the game

I think some players play a style better suited to testrugby.com points than others. Adam Thomson and Nathan Sharpe are usually 2 others who do well.

I fully agree with the Rants man, some players do get those extra points whereas most don't get them. That's why you just have to put those 'favourites' in your team...I guarantee you you'll be happier...

Totally agrre with above comments, It's ridiculoue that JOC gets so high points week in week out. I am surprised he never got 250 points two weeks back for being injured. This site has become a joke.

totally agree with the above original "rant", obviously O'Connor's Mum does the scoring for this site, was actually surprised O'Connor didn't get points for carrying the water on when he was injured a couple of weeks ago. But to be fair nothing will ever change until Test Rugby stops rewarding mediocrity ie: catching the ball (20 points) and "going forward" (20 points) take away the 280 points O'Connor got for these 2 very basic things and you have a pretty fair reflection of his performance, I've been going on about this within my own division for years without much sympathy so don't expect any here either, would be nice though if the scoring could or would be a fair reflection on the players actual performance, rewarding skill and excellence rather than then basics you would expect professional players at this level to do with their eyes shut. Don't worry I won't be holding my breath.

Just get him in your team then. The same thing goes for SBW, he scores ridiculously well for having only one try assist this whole season thus far.

Watch the games fellas. There is a difference between playing well in general terms and having a good fantasy game.
