Six Nations Round 3 team of the round is out and here is some analysis to go with the selections.
Six Nations XV Team of Round 3
The Six Nations XV of Team of Round 3 is out and Scotland's two try hero Alex Dunbar was the Player of Six Nations Round 3 based on statistics from fantasy rugby website www.testrugby.com . Dunbar is excellent value for money at $500,000, but it is hard to know if he will get many more opportunities to score tries since Scotland has been struggling in Six Nations 2014. Dunbar made four go forwards, four line breaks and seven tackles. A tackle in www.testrugby.com is only awarded towards the count of the first tackler, this may count against some players like England's Billy Twelvetrees.
Ireland dominated the rest of the Six Nations XV Team of the Round despite losing to England. Their front-row and loose forwards scored heavily.
There is bad news for owners of Billy Vunipola who has previously been named the Player of Six Nations Rounds 1 and 2. He picked up an ankle injury and will miss the rest of the Six Nations 2014. This is a shame because he only scored 30 points in Six Nations Round 3 after scoring some massive points in the earlier rounds. There are only two weeks of games left so assuming you have trades left then sell big Billy Vunipola now before his value drops. Ireland's Jamie Heaslip is a good replacement.
It is a good option to stock up Ireland players for Six Nations Round 4.
