You have to feel for Adriaan Strauss, surely no one deserves to have an opponent do this cowardly act. So'oialo escaped without further punishment, was this deliberate?
Manu Samoan fullback James So'oialo has avoided punishment for squeezing
Springboks hooker Adriaan Strauss's testicles on Saturday. This is a
dirty act which I thought was above the game of rugby. The South
African Springboks have a reputation themselves of dirty tactics but
these days with all the television technology, it is difficult to get
away with such cowardly acts. The video is funny in someways given how
Springboks hooker Adriaan Strauss was like a raging bull as he attempted
to single out So'oialo.
There is no room for such dirty tactics in the game, but it is difficult
to know what goes on in the murky depths of rugby rucks.
So'oialo has avoided further punishment for his act which I think is being ridiculously lenient.
I thought the Samoans have a reputation for high tackles but didn't think it extended to ball squeezing.
Do you think So'oialo should have been banned for his ball handling skills or keeping his eye on the ball?
Is anyone else sitting cross legged after watching this?
