Here are the Super Rugby Round 13 players to watch. Who are you picking to dominate Round 13?
Super 15 Rugby Round 13 features many players for www.testrugby.com managers to score plenty of points. There are some notable absentees this week as the Brumbies, Bulls and Crusaders have the bye and exciting players like Kurtley Beale, Lappies Labuschagne, Jacques Engelbrecht, Ged Robinson, Aaron Cruden and Tim Nanai-Williams are also not starting through injury, rotation or in Beale's case being stood down by his team.
Here are 10 Players to Watch in www.testrugby.com Super Rugby Round 13
1) Rene Ranger (Blues) - Ranger is back in the Blues midfield to play the Rebels. Given the way the Rebels let so many tries past them last week, you would back Ranger to be a handful. He averages over 250 points per game which is great for a midfield back.
2) Gareth Anscombe (Chiefs) - Anscombe was unlucky not to grab four tries last week against the Rebels, but he was still the second best player in www.testrugby.com last week. This week he moves to first five eighth and he will have less space, but should see plenty of action this week against the Force.
3) Kyle Cooper (Sharks) - With injuries forcing out the other top hookers from the Sharks, the industrious Kyle Cooper will get plenty of minutes. He scored 440 points last week and only costs a little of $600,000.
4) Victor Vito (Hurricanes) - Vito was one of the highest points scorers for the Hurricanes against the Bulls last week. He is an ideal candidate in this game because he takes plenty of lineout ball, carries the ball powerfully, makes tackles and is captain this week in Conrad Smith's absence. He is likely to get 80 minutes.
5) Steven Luatua (Blues) - Luatua is always a good option for www.testrugby.com managers with his ball carrying and lineout ability.
6) Charles Piutau (Blues) - Charles Piutau averages over 300 points per game and will more than likely hot step his way through the Rebels defence a few times on Saturday night.
7) Israel Folau (Waratahs) - It will be interesting to see if the form fullback of the competition can penetrate the Stormers strong defence. If he can, you can expect a bumper harvest.
8) Deon Fourie (Stormers) - This guy has the tallest lineout in the competition to throw to and is really agile as part of the the blockbusting Stormers pack. He grabbed 365 points last week.
9) Adriaan Strauss (Cheetahs) - Strauss is back after the bye to inflict further punishment on the Hurricanes. He is still one of the best hookers in the competition and since he is coming off the bye he is at his cheapest in ages.
10) Eben Etzebeth (Stormers) - Speaking of comebacks, Eben Etzebeth is back from injury and although he may see reduced minutes initially, he won't stay under $1 million long.
