The Crusaders, Stormers, Brumbies and Chiefs all posted wins with some impressive performances to establish their places inside the top six. The cream is rising to the top and players like Robbie Fruean (above) are pushing for a spot at international level. There is a slight problem for Fruean and that is Richard Kahui, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Sonny Bill Williams and even the versatile Tamati Ellison.
The field has spread in Super Ruper now with the Chiefs surprisingly leaders. Before the Super Rugby season started they were paying $15 at Centrebet in Australia and were ranked in the middle of the pack. The Crusaders and Stormers look to be the other top dogs and all three of these teams are looking impressive.
The Lions, Rebels and Blues are looking towards next season already sitting at the bottom of the table after some disappointing performances.
