For all those who knocked the AB selectors for the selection policies - you might want to rethink!!!
I thought I'd add a quick post reviewing the selection policies of the AB coaching team! So many mocked their selections during recent overseas tours, the Tri Nations and of course now the rugby world cup. But it must be obvious to all now that there were reasons for their selections and these are paying huge dividends now.
New Zealand will always have depth because the pool of domestic rugby talent is so impressive, but not only do we have that but we have a fantastic pool of players with AB experience too. How many teams could afford to lose their first and second choice first fives but still be able to replace them with quality players with international experience. I could go through pretty much every single position in the ABs team and list quality players with international experience who could come in to the squad as replacements, but to cut a long story short the All Blacks could pretty much field a B team and they would probably still be favourite to win this world cup and much of this is attributable to the coaching staff and their selections over the last few years.
Big ups to the three wise men!! Kia kaha ABs!!
