There were some interesting margins this weekend, with only one real upset. I wonder if the IRB are taking note with the likes of Samoa and Japan recording wins over Six Nations teams.
The June International Test Match Rugby Round 2 featured some crazy margins which took most tipsters by surprise, although there was only one upset, with Japan beating an understrength Wales by 15 points. Only 3 percent of SuperBru punters picked Japan to win, let alone by 15 points. It seems that the Northern Hemisphere teams aren't as good as the International Rugby Board (IRB) thinks they are.
You wonder what the likes of Samoa need to do to get top international teams to visit their nation and play them in test series? Samoa are the seventh ranked team in the world and the way they have dispatched both Scotland and Italy, leave you wondering if some people who make the decisions realise how good they are?
The All Blacks humbled France 30-0, while Samoa surely deserves more respect than they are given with their second successive victory over a Six Nations team, this time thrashing Italy by 29 points. Both of these results weren't unexpected, but were bigger margins than anticipated. England and Ireland also recorded large wins. All of these results were picked by most SuperBru punters. The most backed side on SuperBru, the Springboks only beat Scotland by 13 points, which was the smallest margin of the Round.
In the SuperBru Super Rugby Tips conference, Brit47 has taken the lead ahead of MattyD. It seems that only two tipsters picked the Japanese victory over Japan.
There were some impressive performances from the All Blacks, Samoa, Springboks, England, Ireland
and of course Japan, which performance rates the best?
I think the All Blacks would beat most teams if they played like they did on Saturday night, but it is hard to go past Japan's win as the best result of the June Internationals Round 2.
